Some people call me the space cowboy

I painted this guy up as part of my post apoc game. He is a reaper sculpt that I picked up on a whim. I had high hopes for  him but he turned out pretty average. That is my fault not the mini's lol. I also finished the base on my little robot from Hasslefree.

I based them with Citadels Agrellan Earth. It's a neat little product and I like the simple effect it gives.

Post Apoc Minis 6

Alright, I finally finished off my Raiders and painted up a robot for my post apoc game. I'm pretty proud of the robot.

First up the completed Raiders.

Next my Hasslefree robot. Please excuse my photogenic fingers. I also haven't done the base yet.

Finally, I stopped by my FLGS and accidentally bought some old school style robots and a power armor wearing cowboy for my Preserver warband (all from Reaper).

I'm excited to paint up the power armored guy but he will have to wait until I really get into my Preservers.

RPG Mushroom Man

I painted up this Reaper Bones Mushroom Man using Game Decor paints ( http://gamedecor.com ).
I think he turned out well. The earthy/ dirty look came out great thanks to the terrain paints I used on his trunk.

I've got two more smaller ones that I might paint up soon.

Kieron, Ranger

I received my order of a metal Tre Manor sculpt today. I've had my eye on this guy for sometime now.
I based him on a 30mm(?) base with some simple sand.
After that I got to painting and finished him off with a bit of Army Painter Swamp Grass.
I'll admit the free hand on the shield is a little rough but overall I'm happy with him.

I'm hoping to do more single miniatures in the future. This guy only took me about 3 hours from prep to finish. He was very quick and enjoyable to paint.

Dragons Don't Share 2

First up is my rendition of the Dragons Don't Share set by Reaper.

For this set I decided to use Game Decor Paints on the baseing and stone. I mounted the piece on a clip board (lol).

From there I simply flocked it using woodlands scenics products.

After that I began painting the dragon. Interestingly enough, the owner of game decor paints approached me with an offer to paint up my dragon in some of his new unreleased paints. I agreed and was very happy I did. The paints are most excellent.

Blocked in colors.

Some details.

 After a wash.

Some Highlighting.

A bit more detailing.

And a finished dragon

Next I went back to the ruins to add some additional vegetation. For this I used Army Painter poison ivy and swamp grass tufts.

I think it gave a nice effect to the project. Overall I'm queit happy with the way it turned out. The sculpt from Reaper ( www.reapermini.com ) was great and  the game decor ( http://gamedecor.com/ ) paints are some of the best I've worked with ( and the prices are great!). I encourage everyone to check them out!
